The Springfield YMCA is a nonprofit association of members whose mission is to serve families and individuals of Sangamon County by providing quality facilities, programs and services that are consistent with Christian values and enhance the spiritual, physical and mental well-being of participants.   Caring, Respect, Honesty and Responsibility are our core values, a fact that differentiates the YMCA from other organizations that exists only to provide recreation and sports participation.   YMCA programs, such as the SPY Swim Team, are only conduits of our mission.  Ultimately, character development is our product.  Every day, we focus on building strong kids, strong families and strong communities.
